The sleeping giant (China) is awaken!
Napoleon once famously remarked, “China is a sleeping giant. Let her lie and sleep, for when she awakens she will astonish the world.” Come and think about it, China is awake now. China is currently on a rise on education, manufacturing, political system improvement, and above all Human Resources Management. While more and more countries are opening up for free trade to allow their products to be exported and such, the competition on products prices is getting tougher and tougher. Thus, the success for a product in a global market now relies on low cost of production. As you know the lower the cost of production, the lower you can get the price of the product to be.
Now, for product to succeed in the market, not only low cost of cheap labor is needed, the quality of production is totally required in every aspect of it from low tier to a high tier (management roll)…
And the Chinese are offering that now, they do offer their best men (out of 1 billion people) with a low fixed rate salary. Now the reason why I say low fixed rate salary is because (don’t forget that!) the Chinese government is based on communism, where they control the labor pay rate and how the wealth is spread among people.
In my conclusion, based on how things are going so far, China will dominate the labor market in 15 years from now. China will have the power of saying who can use its human resources and who cannot. And from there, China will rise!
