US Diplomacy movement is going no where!
Condoleeza Rice said that there will be no cease fire till we find a solution to Hizbollah, in other words diminish Hizbollah. Though, while in the process of elimination of Hizbollah, many innocent civilians are dying in Lebanon. Which I don’t think Israel nor do US governments care much about them.
I mean, why would they think they can eliminate Hizbollah in a month or two or even a year? Hizbollah is not just a militia, it is cultural as well as a political movement. They have tremendous of support from the people of Lebanon, which makes Hizbollah a non-stopping cultural / political movement in the region. Thus, Hizbollah cannot be crippled.
Even if Israel was able to wipe out the whole Hizbollah, a new generation will show up in name of “Hizbollah movement”.
In my conclusion, I think they need to have an immediate cease fire, and then start working on a diplomatic issue that can empower the Lebanese government over Hizbollah. And when I say empower the government, I don’t mean military only, I mean culturally, socially, and even politically.
